Lithium batteries sitting in a parked car that can top 140°F is a risk we’d rather not take — so we didn’t. Plugging into your car’s USB gives you effectively unlimited runtime and one less thing to charge. The trade-off: the fan needs a steady power supply. If the breeze feels weak or the fan stops turning, your port isn’t delivering enough power — switch to a 5V/2A port.
